Dietary Needs & Allergies

Please be aware all our food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts, gluten and other known allergens may be present. We take care to prevent cross-contamination, however, any product may contain traces as our entire menu is produced in the same kitchen. If you or one of your guests have a severe food allergy, please speak to management before placing an order. Full allergen information is available. Management can advise of all ingredients used. Should a product or ingredient that the client has chosen become unavailable or significantly rises in price Kearney’s will contact the client to discuss options to choose an alternative dish or ingredient. Clients cannot provide their own food to be served or consumed at The Great Barn. The only exception to this is a professionally made wedding cake.

Final Numbers

It is the client’s responsibility to provide Kearney’s Catering with a detailed list of all medical allergens and special dietary requirements from their guests.  This will need to be provided no later than 14 days before the event along with final numbers and table plans.  These numbers are fully chargeable from this date.  Your menu is priced at the numbers you provide in our initial meeting.  If numbers decrease or you remove certain elements of your menu the price per person may rise.


Full payment is required no later than 7 days after the day of the event. Full payment is required plus VAT at the prevailing rate. Payment shall be made by BACS transfer. The Charges do not include the cost of breakage or loss of or damage to the Supplier’s equipment, tableware, cutlery or linen etc. for which we reserve the right to charge the Customer after the Event provided that notification of such breakage or damage is provided to the Customer within 14 days after the Event.


The Customer acknowledges and recognises that Kearney’s Catering needs to purchase food and other consumables in advance of the Event as well as equipment and hired labour.

Therefore, the following cancellation terms apply:

Cancellation between 10-30 days of the event: 25% of estimated final invoice

Cancellation within 10 days of the event 50% of estimated final invoice

We strongly advise clients take out private wedding insurance.

Quality Assurance

Under the Government Food Hygiene regulations all cold food should be consumed within FOUR hours of delivery. Hot food should be consumed within 2 hours. All excess food at the Location at the end of the Event shall be removed and disposed of by Kearney’s Catering in accordance with prevailing statutory food hygiene requirements. We shall provide the Catering Services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with food catering industry standards for hygiene and general cleanliness. The preparation and cooking of food and the handling and service of food, beverages, utensils and tableware. In compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements affecting the preparation, cooking, handling and service of food. As we continually strive to improve the quality of our service, we welcome your feedback. From your comments we will be able to improve our service. We value our customer’s feedback and will always follow up on comments. 

Environmentally Aware

We are fully aware of the environmental issues that we all need to take responsibility for and wherever possible we want to play a role in helping the environment. Wherever possible we use local suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint. We also try to arrange deliveries together to minimise our carbon emissions.

Data Protection

We will process any personal data collected from the Customer for the purposes of administering the booking for the Event. We may also process such data to provide the Customer from time-to-time with information on other services that it provides, and other events organised by us if we feel that it will be of interest to the customer. We will not give your details out to any third parties.


A tasting experience can be offered at the discretion of management on selected dates throughout the year. We are not able to provide tastings for Canapés, BBQ’s, Self-Carve or Evening Food.


Pre-event meetings are available 6-8 months prior to your event, preferably via a video call such as Microsoft Teams. The meetings can also be held in person if preferred.


Timings for the day of your event will need to be discussed and agreed in advance with ourselves and the Great Barn.


We can cater for Children at any event. A bespoke children’s menu can be arranged at your client meeting. Children must be kept under strict supervision during service due to potential hazards to them and our staff when hot food is being served.


We can provide a hot main course for any photographers, videographers, musicians by prior arrangement. Price at the rate of our current price list.

Food Replenishment

All food prepared and served on the day of the event but not used cannot be packaged and taken home by the client under any circumstance.  This is due to our strict food hygiene methods implemented for food transfer/preparation and cooking.
